It was mid 2019. How important is the current purchase of link mass to different pages of the site? Do search engines continue to give them value or is it all a waste of money?

"Purchase" is of little importance. A meaningful link strategy is important. And this is not only the purchase of links on exchanges. More precisely, this is only about 20 percent of everything that needs to be done. And yes, this is more important for Google than for Yandex. However, links are important as a ranking factor. This is an indicator of site growth.

Link mass, I think, is not as important in 2019 as it used to be.
I would not recommend buying, but in articles, on forums, bulletin boards, it would be a plus to indicate a link to the site, the main thing is that the resource where the link is placed is positive and not spammed.
