Is Kyocera Ecosys scanning over WIA possible?
Seems like a good MFP. Scanning by the device itself to the mail or to the smb ball works great.
But with scanning on a PC, it's just trash and some kind of waste. There is no native scanning utility. More precisely, Kyocera has some kind of commercial document management system with Disneyland and courtesans, but this is beside the point.
Over the network and via USB somehow works through TWAIN. And that doesn't always work.
Setting up WIA is similar to the secret witchcraft of bone-building (look at the recipes for preparing inf driver files). You can also install a non-plug-and-play device and set the device IP in the properties.
And getting WIA to work with a utility like NAPS2 did not work. And the utility is good at supporting custom profiles.
Is there a way to WIA scan via PC without all the pain of installing a scanner?
