Is JAVA worth learning or is it already a language without potential?

Hello everyone,
I want to start learning java, but I heard that Java is already losing ground. PHP and C# are better. What do you advise?

No, don't teach. And it will be like now with COBOL. In 50 years you will be completely unemployed.

If you want, teach. Don't be without a job. Yes, and then there will be no problem to switch to the same c#. PHP, on the other hand, learning Java is a matter of a couple of weeks.

I agree with Puma Thailand , too much legacy is written on it for it to take and die at once) Another thing, it is possible that the further, the more support and less development. But the experience will still remain. Learning a different syntax afterwards is a matter of days and weeks.
And especially if the craving is for Java - learn and do not even hesitate.
