Is Java - The Complete Guide, Herbert Shield 10th edition good for newcomers to programming?

Hello!
I want to understand if this textbook "Java - The Complete Guide, Herbert Shield 10 Edition" is suitable for beginners in programming and what should I refer this book to?! To a textbook that follows the sequence, or a reference book that does not cover the basic concepts of programming?

I would not like to receive criticism for the fact that the question was asked a million times, just answer the fact:
1. Handbook or Textbook?
2. Good as 1 programming book in general?
3. 10th edition (as far as I know there are 11 only in English, there are problems with this), it turns out that the 11th edition does not differ much from the 10th?!

There are many versions on the Internet, and here you will get another version. In the end, nothing will change. It is better to read the book and clarify what is not understood along the way than to look for excuses for your laziness so as not to read.

a good book, the downside is that there are few exercises, suitable for a beginner, but perception will depend on the level of the reader, as already said

Schildt is one of the worst books on Java.
Better take Eckel. Horstman. On a multithread there is Brian Goets. It's a bit dated, but relevant.

Better Horstmann "Java. Professional's Library". When I started learning Java, I tried to read Schildt, but it is rather difficult, many points are explained much longer than Horstmann's, but you understand less.
