Is Java still relevant for Android development?

I'm not at all guided by what is happening in the field of mobile development now, tell me - is Java still relevant for this? Or is it better for fluters/fuchsias/ets to study something else now?
So I decided to try applications for smartphones to start writing, I don’t know Java well, but I like it.

Of course, java has been and remains the most popular language for Android development. There are several reasons for this:
1. There are many teaching materials for this language: courses, books. This is important.
2. Java is the native language for android. Applications written on it can use all the technical capabilities of the device. That is why java allows you to develop complex applications.
But all kinds of react native there allow you to create only simple applications. In addition, application interfaces can be built using the xml markup language, which is an obvious plus in my opinion.
3. A huge number of vacancies. If you look at sites like hh ru, you can see many vacancies in java development. In addition, java is also used in back-end development and software development.

Java has been relevant for 25 years, and it remains so.
kotlin will still be fashionable for some time, but the fashion for it will pass
