Is it worth switching to angular 2 now?
It is necessary to write a fairly large project. I have been familiar with the 1st angular for a long time, I see the 2nd for the first time.
From the pluses for myself the 2nd Angular I see:
- it seems like the future of Angular and support for the first one will be gradually removed
- type script's goodies
From the minuses:
- I saw Typescript only from
afar - ng2 just came out and there are probably a lot of bugs and no improvements
- no ui. router (or rather, in the alpha stage) and ngResource (there is a third-party alternative, but it is not known how well it is written)
- most likely there are much fewer modules than for the 1st Angular, respectively, you will have to cycle a lot.
So the question is: is it worth touching it now or is it better to do it for now? on the checked one, and then if something should be transferred to the new one?

But you must?
Let's just say, what do you lack for your project in the first, what is in the second? I guess nothing.
Support for the first will be removed when the majority moves to the 2nd. Now, about 3/4 by 1m.
In general, let's be honest, the entry threshold for the second angular is much higher due to the complexity of setting up the project and using TS, and the advantages of switching to the 2nd version are not entirely obvious. Well, i.e. yes, they are painted in all possible articles. So what? Few people have yet realized these pluses in order to decide that they urgently need to switch to 2
It seems to me that the 1st will be relevant for a long time
