The other day a friend became interested in creating an online store and asked me to estimate the cost of creating this site. As an "experienced" developer - I have an idea of ​​the difficulty of creating such a site and all the associated problems (experience from the distant past when I reinvented the wheel xD). And the next thought - "why not use CMS", led me to 1C-Bitrix.
Although the cost is high, but according to numerous reviews - it's worth it. After reading a little more, I found out that she has her own community of programmers and a certification authority. Remembering a quote from one book that it is better to become an expert in one area than to try to succeed in all, I decided to become part of this 1C-Bitrix community.
Now tell me - does it make sense? If - yes, then how to study without having a free copy to test the acquired knowledge?

Otherwise, after the n-th time, crutches and props will begin to irritate and callous your eyes terribly.

I have been working with Bitrix since 2006. Bitrix hat is still the same! "CMS is very broad and has no limits if you're special." - it is not true! Step left, step right - execution on the spot.
The system is degrading and lagging behind modern development tools, and developers are degrading along with it. Wangyu will die out in the near future if it is not rewritten from scratch using generally accepted standards.
But I wouldn’t choose another CMS either, the situation is not better there =)
If the project is typical, not large, simple, with little experience in designing, then CMS will do. but if you need something more serious, then it’s better to choose a framework right away, otherwise a lot of crutches, shit code and stress are provided!
