Is it worth it to lie about work experience?

Hello, I am a newbie web designer, I plan to start looking for my first job soon. Is it worth it to lie about work experience and say that there is 1 year work experience? I worry that they might be asked to see working sites or asked why there are so few works in the portfolio. And if you don’t lie about work experience, then you may not find your first job at all) What do you advise?
