Is it worth it now to start learning fpga programming?

I work in one of the special design bureaus in Moscow, there is an offer to retrain as an fpga / plis developer, at the moment I work in c++. I know that now intel has bought altera, it will introduce other peripherals into its processors.
Is it worth it to try, at the moment I'm 23 years old, the last year of my master's degree, I have knowledge in circuitry.

Yes, it's worth it. This is not the golden age of FPGAs, but they will always be in demand.
Taking this opportunity, I want to share an interesting game that has no direct relation to FPGA, but can stimulate interest in this direction)

FPGA is closer not to programming, but to circuitry. You are actually drawing a circuit, but not with lines and symbols (although this is also possible), but with the help of Verilog / VHDL code. Study, it will not be superfluous. An FPGA specialist is not in demand as often as a C ++ nickname, but it is in demand.
