Is it worth installing Windows 7 x64 Home Premium on a laptop?

Hello everyone, I have an old laptop, but I still have enough with such hardware

15.6" 1366x768 (HD)//Intel Core i3 330M (2.13GHz)//RAM 4GB//HDD 500GB//NVIDIA GeForce 310M (512Mb)

Now I have Windows 10 Home, it seems to me that it either slows down on it very much, it turns on for a long time, it thinks, the HDD is constantly loaded at 100%.
Reinstallation on Windows 10 did not work, the problem remained, that is, after reinstallation, it worked fine for about two weeks.
Maybe my laptop does not fit the characteristics of windows 10
And so I thought if I put Windows 7 x64 Home Extended, it might work faster, and is it worth it to install Windows 7? is it still relevant? Or will this not solve the problem? just when native Windows 7 x86 was standing Home base seemed to be the best
I'm waiting for your answers))

Which one is more convenient and put it, there is not much difference.
Dozens have more background processes, it loads the disk more.
In any case - at least a dozen, at least a seven - put an SSD for fast work.
Well, the memory bar for another 4 would be necessary.

To begin with, I would run a HDD surface test (mhdd or Victoria)
Maybe the HDD is already on the verge of dying there.
Replacing the HDD with an SSD will give you a significant speed boost. (if the budget allows).
Increase the RAM from 4 to 8, but this is optional if you run a lot of heavy applications or toys.
