Is it worth getting involved in embedded development on UPWORK without serious experience?

I am a programmer with extensive experience in web development, mainly backend. Now I am working on my own project, I need a part-time job for half - a third of employment. The problem is that the only popular niche in which I have a portfolio and a desire to work is Three.js (a 3D library on WEBGL). The rest of the technologies I own are either unpopular on Upwork (Perl, C++, CUDA) or not fun to work with (Vue.js, Python). Embedded development is very attractive, but apart from controlling a home-made machine on Arduino, there is no experience. Is it realistic by making a portfolio of 2-3 hobby projects of devices on STM32, etc. microcontrollers, start getting orders?

@opium

And why are you asking and writing all this? It’s really easy to raise your ass, but no lie, without lifting your ass, go to the upwork and see what works are hanging and immediately find out in a second whether you can complete them or not
