Is it worth doing such a web service?
Hello! Not so long ago I set myself the goal of making a small money accounting system, I did it for myself, but now I understand that there are more and more ideas on this system, there are already similar services on the Internet, I do not pretend to dominate, I just want to share my product with everyone, and see what happens, but here's the question. Do people have a demand for such services on the web, or has everyone already gone to applications on mobile phones? The question is rather not technical, but for marketers and analysts. Please do not throw stones, this is my first project that I came up with and did from start to finish myself.

So everyone has different habits, someone is more comfortable in a mobile phone, someone on the web, and someone in their head.
Therefore, other than to check - there is no better option. You can be advised here, but it turns out that you wrote a head and shoulders above everyone else in terms of convenience and will soon receive a grant from Google =_)
But seriously, post it and let the users squeeze, and then you will understand everything yourself.
for experience, it’s worth it, I wrote my web accounting from scratch in c # + asp.net mvc for a couple of years in the evenings. use? yes, I use it, but she put my brains in place and now I'm working as a hostmaster in a provider, I'm already writing on rails.
But in order to sell it there to someone looking for clients, you need to swell a lot in advertising, and the web accounting market is hellishly overloaded with offers - it makes no sense to compete with some thread of rubbish
