Is it worth buying a macbook pro in order to start learning html, php, phyton, java, C ++, or is it better to buy a powerful windows machine for this?
And how does a poppy behave on Windows? All the same, sometimes I will need to use software from Mikes, but it will be very rare.

I recently switched to a mac (macbook pro 15 "2015) from Windows. Before that, I sat under Windows and Linux for a long time. Tasks are ordinary business (documents, spreadsheets, correspondence, Skype, contacts, etc.) and development. So, under I like all this with a poppy much more than under Windows. I think the poppy is more suitable, especially for the web, because it is still a Unix system.
Yes, and the macbook itself is just a great machine, there are no analogues, as it seems to me. Look, people they buy a macbook just because of the hardware and even put Windows on it.
Yes, I almost forgot, the most important thing! Retina... For someone who works a lot at the computer and even more so works with text - a must have.
In general, IMHO, the biggest pluses of a macbook , which for me do not even leave alternatives:
- Retina
- This is Unix
- Good battery (5 hours of normal operation)
- Everything works without a tambourine. Unfortunately, I have a different experience with Windows.
Forgot to add
- Best touchpad I've ever seen. Completely different level. I don't even really miss Lenov's TrackPoint. Although I try to use the mode a la Vim everywhere, so the mouse is less needed.
To start learning html, php, phyton, java, C++ - Dell XPS will do
