Is it true that without a sense of style one cannot become a web designer?

I read many articles about how a sense of style for a web designer is everything. And without him, nowhere. Is it true?

A sense of style is an acquired experience, consisting in the ability to choose solutions that increase the aesthetic value of the product for its user (not for the designer himself, as many people think).
A sense of style is not an innate ability, but is acquired through practice and learning (for example, analyzing other people's work and user reactions).
Thus, your question can be rephrased as follows: "I read many articles that, without a sense of style, it is impossible to design . Is this really so?".
Answer: no. You can become a good designer if you study and practice a lot.

Yes, truth. But the feeling of beauty is not only innate, but also acquired.

What level of designer? Most likely, a person will not be able to create a supercreative from scratch, but it’s quite possible to refine templates, draw mediocre hats, and banners. If there is at least some predisposition to graphics and a minimal understanding of color combinations.

I divide designers (real designers) into two types, figuratively:
- independent
- not independent
The first type has the ability and desire to create (I apologize for the pathos), the second type, in turn, can only "draw", owns the skills of work, tools , perhaps the tasks for creation, but he cannot create a "masterpiece" himself. Lack of fantasy, ideas, perhaps taste...
The second type requires guidance, management by someone, an ideological comrade or an "idea generator". Working with a similar version of the designer is often more difficult, and in the end it just starts to annoy ))
Therefore, in my opinion, a designer may not have the basic qualities, taste of style, etc. but with knowledge and third-party management with such a designer, you can even "cook porridge". Whether it will be easy is a completely different question.
For reference: The works of Dali, Picasso and many other artists were perceived by many as heresy and nonsense at one time ... yes, I think there will be people now ...

I think the movement of humanity stopped in 2004 when Zuckerberg made Facebook. Now you can’t come up with anything new, you may find some non-standard or more convenient approach, but one way or another there are no unresolved problems left. What's left? Make a website that will make everyone's mouths open, and it must be very beautiful, so you can't do it beautifully - hire designers and work with them

A sense of style comes with experience. Great artists also did not immediately begin to paint their brilliant paintings, but at first they made copies of the great masters of the past in order to fill their hands and develop a sense of style.
Solution: view beautiful stylish work, spin in this environment and imitate at first. After a while, the feeling will appear by itself.
