They will not be able to use it as an output - as far as I know, by default, the torus does not work in the output node mode. But it's better not to play around with such things :)

As you set it, so be it.
If you turn on the output node mode in the config, you will make your host an output node.
Turn on the relay mode - you will pass transit traffic between nodes through your host.
