Many are already aware of the fact that the famous hacker Hell hacked into Navalny's mailbox and now publishes the most juicy excerpts from there on his blog . So, attention , question. Is it really impossible (or extremely difficult) to forge (read alter) emails in TBB format? Or did Hell have the opportunity to do it?

Even if it's impossible or extremely difficult, why fake TBB emails at all? It is enough to write the desired content in EML format (plain text format) or create it in any other mailer, from where to import it into EML and correct the headers for greater credibility, then import this EML file into Bat, and the letter will be in the Bat database, in the format TBB.
In general, Kaganov has already spoken well on this subject.

(TBB is The Bat's mailbox format.) Not likely at all. What is there, cryptographic control? Or at least the checksum is considered?
But for the sake of clarity, let's look for a description of the format. I only found a short note from 2006 based on reverse-engineering . Nothing unexpected - headings, content size - you can insert anything here.

Here they write that the authenticity of the letter can be verified using DKIM signatures, such as a letter, along with all the headers (sender, recipient, date) was signed by the yahoo.it mail server. This is already more convincing, although somehow I didn’t think before that DKIM technology can be used as a kind of “notary”.

It is possible to fake. The question is the amount of money for it.
You better think about something else. In Ukraine, in the case of the prime minister, the prosecution used documents dated April 31. Did the publication of this fact affect the result?
If necessary, such dubious evidence as “impossibility to fake” is simply ignored. So do not strain: choose the side that you believe in and support.
