Is it really so hard to find a job these days?

I read the article https://m.habr.com/ru/post/460901/ about job search. There was an impression that the market is very crowded if there are 500+ responses for one senior vacancy. And how, in this situation, do people below the senior level look for work? Maybe those golden times have already passed and all the hype about "milk rivers and jelly banks" is beneficial only for white courses?

The market appears to be very crowded.

True impression.
In general, it's scary only in the field of the web, normal programmers find work relatively easily.
Yes. Now it's a business.
Yes.

In terms of difficulty, it’s about the same as finding a good woman (young, not RSP, without a vulgar past, because men will understand).

Well, depending on what area. The fact that the low entry threshold is etoo yeah ;D ..
"Reasonable" shkolota like how I mastered html / css / js at a basic level and go ahead to compete on freelance for a pretty penny with some 24-25 developer, working for food and experience like valiant peasant.
And if you master the VP and cut the templates, you will generally download, with the right letter and approach to the customer, the student will put his early capture in programming as a plus and skillfully take advantage of the chance to freelance.
As for me, everything is fine xD
ps I already took about 10 projects ))0))

It has always been and will be - beginners work for a penny.
Otherwise - blat or luck or perseverance.
This is fine.
Always. And in all areas, not just in IT.
Only on Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Netflix

I think that the market in Russia is really overheated.
If you go to a salary of 50k you will not feel of course)))
But who wants to become a teacher or a doctor now? Now every 2nd IT specialist. This is one side.
And on the other hand, companies want the very best, preferably for less money, preferably genius level.
This is a layer of 5% of specialists, like meat in lard - and everyone wants them, and since it is difficult to filter out 5% of people, they make a difficult selection process, and so on)
As a result, companies do not want to take and teach, work with specialists - on the other hand, every 2 oh programmer.
That makes it easier to find a project remotely from the States or Europe than to spend time in Russia on a million useless interviews)
