Is it possible, using Arduino, to make a coffee machine out of a coffee maker?

Yes, at least you can make an airplane with an arduino. Find circuits for your coffee maker, process them to interface with an arduino or some other controller, add the necessary devices, components, program the operation logic and get a balalaika with pedals.

Theoretically yes. They make feeders for cats, robots, etc.
