Is it possible to write mtr in js?

Most online networking tools (tracert and mtr in particular) display data for their network connection. Therefore, I'm wondering if there is such a tool that would allow tracing for my Internet connection in the browser, and is it possible (in the absence of options) to write something similar in js?
