Is it possible to vaseline contacts and microcircuits inside the phone?
I used to work as an alarm fitter. The work is delicate soldered processors with hundreds of legs.
Employees brought their phones to our department to fix them. 9 out of 10 phones were enough to wash in ultrasound and alcohol. If I kept statistics, then maybe 95% of breakdowns would have been due to oxidation of contacts.
Cell phone companies know this problem. But they do not intend to solve it. And in general, phones with a waterproof case cost 5 thousand more, and still no one buys such phones.
.
Over the past half a year, I and my relatives have been covered with a bunch of phones, players and other garbage. In each, as it turned out, a bunch of green streaks on copper tracks, and white streaks on aluminum.
As a rule, this is in places where the camera is, and where the volume and sound buttons are., And where is the charging.
After all, it’s not possible to put a phone in a condom, at least it’s not beautiful, but I wanted to protect the equipment from death in advance.
Can contacts be coated with Vaseline? After all, it costs only 30 rubles in a pharmacy. Or what would you recommend cheaper and to repel moisture?

The electrical insulating properties of petroleum jelly are quite suitable ( Wikipedia ), it is used as part of protective lubricants that are resistant to oxidation. But I think that medical vaseline in its pure form should not be used to protect the components of telephone circuit boards due to its increased fluidity with slight heating.
Zapon varnish was used to protect printed circuit boards. It is not expensive, if necessary, it is washed off with alcohol. Now there are modern products, including those based on silicone, but they are not as cheap as petroleum jelly. You can choose something budget, just a little google .
There is technical petroleum jelly for lubricants and graphite lubricants for sliding contacts, usually in electrical equipment (power panels, fuse sections, knife switches, anchor brushes for electric drives, etc.), there is also petroleum jelly for low-current systems (multi-contact drum-type switches) it was widely used in resistive regulators, resistance stores, and containers, open-type low-current relays, etc. The main purpose is to prevent oxidation of open movable pads (surfaces) from corrosion and dynamic wear.
From personal practice, for a very long time there was a Tektronix tool kit, the set of which included Vaseline.
Today there are a lot of anti-corrosion sprays (your case). You can see for example herekvazer.com/spray-for-electronics/18677-sprey-konta... in Czech, but you can figure it out. The most advanced sprays for various purposes are Japanese.
To protect contacts, it is better to use KONTAKT 60 or KONTAKT 61 - www.kosmodrom.com.ua/him/him.php
Vaseline may not be neutral, but with acidic components.
Well, for coating non-contact surfaces - varnish URETHAN 71.
