Is it possible to use the ipad as a monitor for a Macbook with a broken display without any problems?

On a Macbook pro, the display began to flicker. Somehow it still works, but I think it won't last long. Refurbishment is not an option. But, since I still wanted to buy an ipad, I think: will it be possible to use it as a display for a poppy without any problems ? What happens if the poppy display dies at all, how will I connect the ipad as a display when I turn on the poppy? And in general, how will it work in general - through bluetooth or what?

Ipad as a display ... well, let's just say, you can dodge, but it's very, very crooked and askew.
Options:

  • some laptop remote control program (teamviewer, for example). It will slow down, but it can work.
  • sidecar function

I haven't tried the second option. It is only for fairly new macbooks (from 16 years old).
If the macbook is old, you can find a similar laptop filled with it and take the display from it. If it's not the display, but the video card... well... that's sad.
