Is it possible to use SnapProtect from NetApp to back up Hyper-V infrastructure, despite the fact that virtual machines are not located on NetApp storage systems?
Netapp's manuals say everywhere that you can use their backup software if the infrastructure we are backing up is on NetApp storage. Is it possible to use it if the virtual machines are on the host itself? Or am I just reading the manuals wrong?

Guys,
Let's make it straight here: SnapProtect is just re-badged CommVault Simpana, it's not a secret & can make the whole story easier to digest for many people who are already familiar with this product.
