Is it possible to transfer browser cache and TEMP to SD?

I'm going to buy a laptop with an SSD. Q: Is it possible to transfer SWAP, TEMP and browser cache to an SD card and what happens if I suddenly pull it out?
Thanks in advance!

Why not? Links have not been cancelled.
For example, for Windows - mlink; for Linux - ln, etc.

And what then is the point of an SSD, if you transfer rather critical things to a medium with a low speed of operation? For example, I reduced SWAP (in fact, I don’t use it much, since I have enough RAM), I turned off the TEMP of the browser, leaving only the cache in the RAM, and generally turned off everything unnecessary. 8 gigs of RAM is enough for all my needs, browser cache ... I don’t see any problems yet.
TMP will be moved to HDD later (as soon as 2nd hdd caddy arrives).

I do not recommend touching the swap, because the loss of a swap during operation usually ends in failure. the tempo is easily and naturally tolerated by changing the %TEMP% variable. If you really want to, then you can make a symlink. and as for the browser cache, why do you need an ssd if you take the data that requires fast random access to slow storage?

I join those who unsubscribed above, putting SSD and performance-critical storage on obviously slow media is somewhat illogical. If you want to save the disk resource in this way, it is better to install more RAM and use a RAM disk. This is what I have done on both machines: there are SSDs, 8 gigs of memory and Primo Ramdisk PE of 3 gigs, where both pagefile and Temp and browser cache are placed.

What operating system? Here is a good selection of Linux SSD hints - chooselinux.org.ua/optimizaciya-ubuntu-11-04-pod-ssd/

It makes no sense.
My Kingston 64v + is not the first freshness. when I set the seven, I first transferred the browser cache, tmp and other garbage to the HDD.
When I installed 2008r2 at home (TFS, IIS, MS SQL, Visual Studio, the girl still has GIMP active (not counting movies, music, ICQ, Skype))
To transfer caches to slow media, that is, HDD - scored, transferred only torrents to the screw, mine documents, downloads, desktop and other user folders available for transfer.
and, still SQL at me on a hard disk is unrolled by bases, yes.
The computer is used daily 7/24 for 2 users, ssdlife writes that with this use, ssd will last me up to 16 years.
Rather, I will have time to update the computer a couple of times than this SSD, which has been living with me for more than a year and has not been produced for a long time, will die ...

They did this on the Eee PC 701 (netbook mastodon) - terrible brakes and sudden lags in completely unexpected places. In addition, cards live in this mode for no more than six months, often dying after a couple of months. It is better to use an SSD for this after all - it is optimized for this type of operation, and theoretically the memory chips will live in this mode continuously for 5 years. By the way, most SSD failures are not due to memory, but due to the controller.
Alternatively, you can greatly increase the RAM and use a RAM disk.
