Is it possible to stream steam home via PPTP?

Good day!
On Mikrotik, located in another city, a VPN server (PPTP) is configured and the ports through which steam is broadcast are forwarded. The network works - you can go from one computer to another by ip or by the names that I set in static dns on Mikrotik, however, steam clients do not see each other (at the same time, some packets are transmitted through open ports when steam is started).
What could be the problem?
I have an assumption that this is due to the lack of a network environment, but I am not at all strong in networks, so I could be wrong.

I forgot to add: the broadcast could be started via hamachi, but still I would like to do it via vpn.
