Is it possible to stop the playback of a Flash movie using JS?

I have a carousel with banners, which can contain both flash banners and regular pictures. I would like to stop playing the flash drive if it flew off the screen, so as not to waste memory in vain. Is it possible to do this if the corresponding methods in the ExternalInterface are not implemented inside?

Replace the flash drive with an empty block or just remove it from the DOM
