Is it possible to solder a wifi antenna?
There is an android media player for cars.
Wi-Fi wires peek out from the metal case for a couple of centimeters. There is no full-fledged antenna, as on routers.
WiFi works, but the range is not very large.
Is it possible to solder an antenna from a router to the wifi wiring to increase the reception radius?
Is it safe for people and the device itself?
I can solder something simple, but I don’t understand circuitry. Especially in a wifi device from this point of view.
The question is also whether the antenna is specially selected for the device or whether a fairly wide range of antenna sizes is acceptable. Those. if I put a larger antenna, will this not lead to increased wear and failure of the circuits responsible for it?

It is better to look at the board where the antenna is attached. Perhaps there is a regular high-frequency connector and you can simply pull out the old antenna and buy a new one that you like.
PS For the antenna, the ratio of dimensions to the signal wavelength is important, and not the absolute dimensions. Simply lengthening without minimal calculations can degrade the signal
