I drew my own symbol in the Personal Sign Editor, copied it, and wanted to send a message to Vkontakte, but squares were sent instead of the symbol.
I don't know how symbols work in principle in Windiows, and I can't find any information about this, can you explain why the squares were sent and is it possible to somehow send my symbol?

Using the Private Character Editor, you create characters for your own personal use. That is, on your computer, if you did everything right, you can create documents with this symbol, print them, create PDFs or pictures with this symbol. But you can't just use this symbol in email, messenger messages, and so on. Because those who will read this will not have this symbol in their fonts, only you have it.
Transferring fonts that contain these characters to other people so that they can also use them is a non-standard task, strictly speaking, this is not provided for by Windows developers.
