Is it possible to run a system in a virtual machine from another hard drive?

There are two independent Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18 systems on two different hard drives.
Now, when loading, I can choose which one to load and work in it.
I want both to be running at the same time with the ability to switch between them.
The question arose, is it possible to run Ubuntu from another hard drive in Windows 10 using VirtualBox or a similar program?
