Is it possible to return to the previous position of RecyclerView from another Activity?

The situation is this: there are two Activities, one of them has a Fragment in which the RecyclerView is located, and there is a second Activity that reflects the detailed information of the RecyclerView element. The RecyclerView is filled with CardViews. Is it possible, when returning from Activity #2, to return to the RecyclerView position with which we entered the second Activity? If yes, how to do it?
