Is it possible to reset the web server settings?
It is not clear in connection with what, an error 500 appeared, not the one that does not respond .. The
hoster says some inconsistencies in the server configuration files ..
Is it possible to somehow restore the original value of the server without reinstalling the system?
vesta / centos7 / httpd web server
restoring backup files in vesta did not help
in vesta logs
connect() failed (111: Connection refused) while connecting to upstream, client:
how to find out or find the exact error.. new to linux..

Check nginx config.
But nothing happens by itself.
From the most banal:
1) Check the .htaccess file
2) There are ready-made "packages" in the VestaCP panel, in one of which you probably changed the "web template".
Or reinstall the OS and reinstall and configure the VestaCP panel - it will be faster in time.
It will take much longer to search for an error in your case.
