Is it possible to replace the photo scrolling effect in the gallery?

In the gallery, when viewing photos, animation is used, a normal slider, scrolls with a finger to the left to the right.
I am not an android application programmer, so the question is for you.
Is it difficult to replace this function, with skipping between frames WITHOUT animation, with left-right buttons?

It's easy in most cases. Implementation dependent. If there is a ViewPager or RecyclerView, then it's simple.
