Can I track a request to use another app's microphone?

Good afternoon, dear programmers.
Essence:
There is an application that writes in the background from a microphone. Unless my knowledge is changed, the microphone in Android can only be used by one application at a time. This is where the question arose - is it possible to somehow track the request to use the microphone from any other application? Then I would release the microphone, and wait for another application to stop using it - I would start recording again.

Yes, you will listen! When a request is made to the microphone, priority is given. Make it a low priority.
