Is it possible to replace the display in an Asus UX32L laptop?
There is such a machine, but it has 3 things that infuriate me as a perfectionist:
1) one broken pixel
2) a scratch from the touchpad on the screen
3) a protruding
touchpad
2 - arises from the 3rd point, the touch sticks out a little literally by 0.25 mm, but this was enough to scratch the screen.
I saw on eBay sold assembled screens for Asus, they are replaced directly by the entire lid. This leads to 2 questions:
1. Is it possible to somehow push the touchpad lower into the case?
2. Is it possible to stick a screen from another model, for example, I have 1920, and put 4k?

1. If the touchpad is fixed at the bottom of the base of the cover, then you can sink it by adjusting the fasteners. If it is glued into the lid, you can try to tear it off and re-glue it to a thin adhesive layer. If it is integral with the lid, then you can only replace the supporting rubber feet on the screen frame with similar ones, but higher.
2. Most likely not. I believe that the laptop's video controller is programmed for a specific matrix size, as in desktop monitors.
https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Asus+Zenbook+UX32V... here is a similar disassembled model. I'll try to glue the adhesive tape on the touchpad mount so that it is a little deeper when tightening the bolts.
And how can I find out which screens are suitable for me by marking, so that for sure?
I would then sell this laptop, and take another. It will be easier. Take a risk and drag a part of dubious quality from ebay for $ 400? Monsieur is excited.
If in Moscow, then I often applied to this office. smart-service.ru/contacts
Since their screens are sometimes cheaper than buying in retail. And considering the work comes out proportionately.
To find out exactly whether the matrix is suitable, you can disassemble and see
Maybe even aida will show. Shows me.
