Cyclic reboot to complete blackout?
Greetings.
The trouble happened - the laptop (Acer Aspire 5520) when turned on acts as follows:
1. Turns on the power, WiFi and HDD indicators
2. Turns on the cooler
3. Judging by the sound, it initializes the CD-ROM
4. Turns off completely, after a second - go to step 1 The
behavior started quite suddenly - while surfing the net.
There is a slight suspicion that these are the consequences of overheating.
I gave it to the service, they diagnosed “malfunctions in the power supply circuit” and broke the price one and a half times higher than the cost of a new motherboard from ebay.
Who can help with the diagnosis (advice or deed - if from St. Petersburg)? If anyone has a donor laptop of a similar model, from which you can rearrange spare parts for diagnostics, I will charge a nominal fee.

And what is there to rearrange from the donor? The problem seems to be in the motherboard.
Try to remove everything (disk, memory, CD-ROM), if the behavior is the same, then there is nothing special to remove from the donor.
Either you need to order a motherboard on eBay (if the beech is expensive as memory), or change the entire computer.
SC is now lazy and will not bathe with chains. Buying mom solves the issue. Had a similar problem after pouring tea. Bought my mom.
1. Change the thermal paste, if not changed. I think the machine is 4 years old ...
2. If it didn’t help, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT is most likely to blame, they mess up on different laptops, as a result of overheating, the GPU is unsoldered, but for this, you have a hair dryer in your hands and go!
first try to boot from LiveCD (if CD is booted) and start from it
