Is it possible to recover deleted records in a DBF table after a compression procedure?
Those. records marked as deleted, the compression procedure physically deletes from the table, is it possible to cancel the compression procedure?

Answer:
You cannot cancel the compression procedure.
There is a small chance that information physically removed from the file system is still on the hard drive, if that makes you feel better.

Do an EXPLAIN for both queries - see if the indexes are being used.
2 mlp records - not very much. Most likely just look for FullScan.
at least indexes are suggested
for dev_messages - by message_author, message_target, message_date
for dev_users_profile - by user_profile_id
