Is it possible to put the RAM with a higher frequency than the processor and motherboard support?
Good day! Guys, help me figure it out, the situation is as follows! There is a laptop. now there are 2 sticks of 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz, it is possible to put 2 sticks of 8 GB each, but there is a frequency of 1600 MHz (the motherboard supports up to 16 GB, but with a frequency of 1333 MHz and the processor also works with RAM up to 1333 MHz). The question is whether these strips will start on the laptop. (not a specialist, but it seems like on a laptop. there is no way to change timings and RAM frequencies) ?? If they start, at what frequency will they work? Thank you in advance!
