Is it possible to put a closed (protected) Android file on Debug in Eclipse?

I would like to know how the closed Android class SearchView works. I have already found the contents of this class, but I need to see how it works. It is not possible to put logs, since editing is prohibited. (I didn't think to remove the "Read-only" mode :) Apparently I should sleep more... but I leave the question open). Breakpoints are also not set.
Or is it possible to somehow see all the methods called during the program, including in the closed classes of the Android libraries?
