Is it possible to pull contacts from a backup (AddressBook.sqlitedb)?

The problem is the following: an empty backup overwrote the full one that I needed (don't ask how it happened).
Now I was able to select the AddressBook.sqlitedb file from an already new copy, in which, as it were, there should have been contacts. Of course, there is nothing now. However, the file itself weighs 1 megabyte, which means that there are contacts somewhere, but they are either encrypted or somehow marked so as not to be shown.
There are options to highlight them, what do you think?
