Is it possible to port a RenPy desktop game to the web? Maybe using Django/Flask alternatives?
We have been developing a visual novel with a friend for a long time. They ported it to Linux, Android, Mac, but in the end the project grew and more and more often there are problems with compatibility and performance. Thinking about making a web version. We tried RenPy-web, but due to certain reasons, it drags along with it all the same problems. Now we are thinking about making a version in Django or another web framework. Is it possible? Do you know alternatives?

If you want to push the game to all platforms, then it is better to rewrite it on Unity . It supports 24 platforms including the web (WebGL).
Since you have a visual novel, then there should be no difficulties, there are not many mechanics, in fact, there is only one continuous content. In addition, there is a handy Fungus just for this purpose, the developers were inspired to create it by RenPy and Twine.
So Unity + Fungus would be the perfect solution.
