Is it possible to pass 120Hz to a 144Hz monitor via HDMI with a 2009 graphics card?
Guys help, who really knows or faced.
Essence of the question: there is a 144 Hz ViewSonic XG2104 monitor, it has three connectors: 2x HDMI 1.4 and Displayport 1.2, respectively, the wire was only displayport, on the PC I don’t have Displayport connectors, only HDMI, VGA. Through HDMI it shows only 60Hz, I found the wire at home, well, I think that it is most likely 1.4, shoveled the forums, they write that hdmi 2.1, for example, transmits 120Hz to the monitor, but the question is how to understand whether my output from the video card will pull (nVidia GeForce 9800GT, computer 2010 ...) In general, the essence is this, is there any point in looking for and buying hdmi 2.1 if it is not clear even what output from the video card and plus another question, the monitor specifications indicate that the outputs are: 2xhdmi 1.4 - there is another question, it will do Is there 2.1 in general in theory? I need to transfer at least 120Hz to the monitor somehow ..
Therefore, I don’t understand what to do at all, look for a computer or something new .. where there is a displayport, but there is already $ ..

And what did you intend to convey?
Just a desktop image?
In what resolution?
ps I'll say right away that the card will not pull a single game with such fps. It is a fact. Well, in the browser you won’t notice the difference between 60 and 120. Films in 24 frames are still)
Purely from memory, I’ll say that it’s unlikely that rollers older than 12-14 years old support 120. You have a 2008 release.
Well, do not hope better in the life of games with 120/144 with your video card. They are provided in 1080p by video cards with a nominal value of at least 40k (well, there are exceptions for 1660s that stretch, but in the rest it’s sad).

Thanks for the answer, of course.
As a result, through hdmi 120 Hz, it pulls a COP with a normal vacuum through the manual settings of the video card.
It also transmits 144, in kse norms and it feels enough, but when you manually set 144Hz, the desktop resolution is only up to 1024x768, in my opinion, and everything is blurry large, I won’t say for sure from memory ..
And so a fact is a fact, I myself already at first I was upset, maybe on all publics it was written that hdmi 1.4 supposedly does not pull the norms of hertz
