Is it possible to not reset windows activation when doing sysprep?

I prepared several PCs for transfer to the customer: installed and activated windows (oem license), created a windows recovery image (using windows tools, on another partition of the same disk where Windows is, so it is necessary), etc. Ideally, run sysprep, but it seems like in this case, windows activation will fly off and restore points will be deleted (points are not needed, but does this apply to the recovery image - xs, it is needed). Do I understand correctly that sysprep cannot be performed without resetting the license?
