Is it possible to make any site on wordpress now?
There is a site on wordpress. Portal. I plan to develop it further.
I think whether to transfer it to yii2 or leave wordpress. I'm afraid that it will be problematic to scale on wordpress.
What do you advise?

Why such skepticism about WP?
Wordpress is just a set of tools in the hands of a developer. The final product depends on how this set is used. You make a crutch - you crutch. If you make a wheel with pistons, you will run like the wind

Unfortunately, statistics show that projects in demand develop and grow only immediately after their creation. If your project "lives" for a long time, then without huge investments it will not grow by orders of magnitude and it makes no sense for you to transfer it to another "engine". Of course, it's up to you, but don't forget the rule: if it works, don't touch it!
As for me, the VP is not undermined for the following types of projects:
1) Forums . There are no good forum plugins (not even bbpress). Unless you deploy a node, install NodeBB and connect it to the VP using a bridge ...
2) Soc. networks. There is also a huge lack of plugins. Essentially you have to choose between 3 main plugins - BuddyPress, Ultimate Member, WP Recall. Pluses of Ultimate Member - conditional logic at registration. Wp Recall is convenient for a personal account and fits better than others. All three have an awkward messaging system. Sometimes you have to integrate the good old Private Messages For WordPress plugin instead of the built-in messaging system.
3) Sites of announcements.Of course, there are a lot of plugins, but I prefer CMF (Yii2 || Laravel) instead of CMS WP
In general, if you want serious projects, run on ruby, python & java. Or CMF in php...
WP is great for blogs, for simple sites, for landings. for business card sites, for online stores, etc.
