Is it possible to make an asp.net core mvc application with support for all windows components?

This question is of interest
. The documentation says that asp.net MVC 5 is already outdated, so it is recommended to use asp.net core MVC 2.
Can I use it in tandem with the usual .net Framework (under Windows) to get a stable solution with support for all libraries or should I use .net core? If I can, is it considered an adequate option or is it sodomy?

@Dywar

asp.net MVC 5 is not deprecated.
core can be used anywhere and with anything.
EF Core, for example, will still be cut for 1-2 years, so that it would be equal in functionality to the current 6. New features were added, but not all of the old ones were transferred.
