Is it possible to make a WiFi router out of a regular modem for wired Internet?

The Internet is connected via a telephone or telephone cable (ADSL + telephone via a splitter)
D-Link TD-8616
I mean with my own hands
the answer: "everything is possible" - not accepted
In soldering, radio engineering and electronics, I am more of an amateur than a specialist, so far .. :)
Still, I know how to make a radio receiver, and I had to work with it.
If everything is complicated, then the answer: "it's easier to buy a new one" will do.
Perhaps someone has come across such an idea or problem, share your advice c_c
I don’t have a special idea what is inside routers and modems)
I know that WiFi definitely has an antenna)

If the modem has LAN ports, then you can buy an access point and connect it to the local network.
If there is only one LAN port, then to increase the number of ports, you will need to buy a switch.

In order for the price not to be unjustified, in any case, you will need ready-made ADSL modem and WiFi access point. And in the presence of these, it is enough to connect the output of the first to the input of the second and everything will work)
