Is it possible to make a PCI-E sound card external via USB?

Good afternoon.
I have an excellent sound card Esi Maya 44e, which works in the system unit on the PCI-e bus.
I would like to make it an external zvukovuha, working via USB.
How can this be implemented? Maybe there are some adapters? Will there be driver issues?
Thank you.

No.
The best option would be to sell this one and buy a similar one, or even a class higher, but external. (moreover, it is not so complicated for you)
If you want a "collective farm", then you can experiment with the MiniPCI-E - PCI-E adapter, but this:
1. Not aesthetically pleasing
2. Not practical
3. If there is no second slot for a modem, you will lose WI-FI

Unfortunately no. Sound needs RAM to take sections of the wave, and a processor to cause interrupts. In other words, the adapter will be a small computer.
Maybe in low latency mode, everything is not so scary (not familiar with it), but the system bus and the serial bus for peripherals are too different interfaces.

If we are talking about using it in a laptop, then you can try mini-PCIe adapters . But this, of course, is not as convenient as usb.
If the laptop has Thunderbolt, then you can find more elegant options.
