Is it possible to make a monitor out of an e-book?

I came up with the idea to create a mini PC to sort it out. Never done something like this.
The essence is to buy a board and put ubuntu on it.
The boards have an HDMI mini connector.
So, there is a hdmi mini to usb wire
. Connecting the e-book to the disassemble as a monitor.
Apparently e-book texet. (there is no more information, it has been lying idle for 5 years).

Such questions are very surprising: "How to connect a device that has a video output and a device that does not have a video input?" Well, isn't the answer obvious?
At best, the question can be put like this - is it possible to connect a screen from a book to a raspberry. This is usually implemented by searching for a ready-made controller board. The Chinese have done a lot of things, maybe there is something for your version.
Those. the book must be dismantled, to see what is behind the screen, with what interface. And google the possibility of using it.

In theory, this is possible. Something similar has already been done: Direct connection of a tiny OLED display via HDMI

almost certainly, inside your book, the screen is connected via lvds, the Chinese have relatively affordable hdmi-lvds boards (and if the display port, then I remember there was an article on habré how to solder one yourself)
With a high probability, if your book was hacked by 'lovers of strange solutions', t .e. chop up the firmware and write the appropriate driver, it may be possible to display an image (by copying from the screen or your own) by connecting the device via usb or wifi or whatever your reader has ... but this is not a monitor, this is exactly copying the image (on the other hand, often video cards have several outputs, providing a free plug, you can fool the OS and it will think that you have two monitors, and copy the image from this fictitious one to a tablet)
I remember exactly how some trickster got out, an old photo frame without any I/O interfaces, only a memory card, connected it to wifi using a microsd wifi card adapter, the photo frame conscientiously displayed a picture from this memory card, and the owner changed it from a computer (it seems you put two pictures, and they change one after another in a cycle, you don’t need to change anything, but the speed of changing the image is seconds.
