Help me choose an e-reader

What is better Onyx BOOX A60S or Amazon Kindle 3G + Wi-Fi (3-rd generation)?
from myself:
- books with graphs, diagrams
- djvu support (I heard that the alternative firmware for the Kindle supports this format)
- battery life
, what should you pay attention to when choosing a book?
Thanks to all!)

Kindle I think. But believe me, reading technical literature on such a screen is an amateur. I have an LBook 5 "- it doesn't work at all, although I know a person who reads on a SONY reader. I wanted to buy for a technical Kindle DX, which is about 10", but I read a review on Habré that it's still impossible to read thick books on it - the device slows down and buggy on books more than 400 pages.

I have not tried others, but Kindle is very convenient as a reader. Experimental features in it (audio player and Internet browser) are not very convenient, if not completely inconvenient, but that's what the reader is for.

Kindle is convenient for reading, but if you feel the strength, you can look at Nook Touch Reader
. The interesting thing is that it hacks, and you get a tablet for android 2.1 where you can again put Kindle as an application :) there are only buttons

Lately I've been using Kindle. Without 3g. Having wifi is quite nice when reading the news.
But for normal reading of PDF and DJVU, you need to install an alternative firmware - I installed Duokan.
But there is a problem with it - it displays mobi sooo sucks. Yes, and the page redrawing mode is annoying.
(It also works slowly to speed up the cleaning of the page instead of completely darkening and brightening, it clears the campaign by mask - as a result, the outlines of the image from the previous page remain on the page). It certainly does not bother much, but it is worth paying attention to.
In addition, I ran into a rather strange problem - when I uploaded music containing Russian letters in the name, the Kindle thought for a long time and then said - your piece of iron is broken (+ you can’t connect to the storage) - call the UK at such and such a number. It was cured after a day of charging and many attempts to restart the hardware with a connection to a PC.
Well, and most importantly, if you read pdf and djvu, it makes sense to look at DX, since 5 is too small for this.

I bought a kindle dx with a 9 inch screen just for reading technical literature in pdf. I am satisfied with everything, nothing slows me down and does not bug on large books. The screen size is very pleasing, just right for reading.

Definitely Kindle. And instead of an alternative firmware, it's better to use a converter to pdf, they say that IrfanView does a good job with this.

I would suggest considering whether a search is necessary. As a rule, it is necessary. It's no coincidence that Kindle has a qwerty keyboard ;-)
In addition, from my own experience I can note the presence of a built-in dictionary - an extremely useful thing if you read unadapted English texts.
But I haven’t realized the presence of a 3G module yet - I don’t see an application. Perhaps for now.
I would recommend Iriver Story HD, but it is not for sale yet, although it has already been announced. If there is an opportunity to wait, then I would take it. Well, a cover right away.

if you choose only from Onyx BOOX A60S or Amazon Kindle, then of course Kindle (but do not forget about format support), and if you take something really good, then this is a pocketbook, no questions asked, even though I have 301+ but I'm happy as an elephant, I have been reading on it for 2 years now, I think now you can look towards 601 or 602, IMHO

I recently used the Nook Simple Touch Reader for a short time. As a reader in the drain is not very bad. Touch screen, 6 inches and hardware convenient paging keys. But there is also Android with all the consequences (it will be possible to put a reader for any format).

I used Nook Classic for a year and a half, recently switched to Kindle 4. To be honest, I had to regret it more than once - maybe I’ll give someone a Kindle in the end and buy a Nook Simple Touch. Of course, the size and battery life after the nuk, as well as the ability to rotate the screen, are pleasing, but the paging buttons and the interface are simply terrible compared to those on the NC. Killer features could be a good integration with Instapaper and similar services, but the trouble is that I don’t have Wi-Fi now.
