Is it possible to make a home ftp server from an old PC?
A friend sells an old xeon 3065 server processor, 2GB of RAM and hard. Will it fit a home ftp server? I would like to roll Linux on it and install the sprutio file manager. How much resources does such a server need and is it enough?

Suitable, but the power consumption of the Zion is not very 65W
Intel® Xeon® Processor 3065
The entire system will consume about 80W no less, if not a pity, then the norm.
(on average for electricity 230-250 rubles per month, if in 24/7 mode)
And so, IMHO, it's better to turn it on Atom, they have only 10-15W consumption.
PS: IMHO, the heavy part of SPRUT.io is an interface that runs on the client side, so the declared zion and atom are more than enough.
