Is it possible to log in chrome extension?

All the best! Ran into some issues with the extension so it would be good to see what went wrong by reading the logs. In the Google docks there is an option to work with the file system (I thought just writing to a file), but only if these are applications, and not a simple extension. Maybe someone has already encountered this, and advise how to write logs

The log from the content scripts is shown in the same place as the log from the page itself. And from background page -- on chrome://extensionsis "Inspect views". In the same place it will be possible to put a bryak. Isn't it?
