Is it possible to live in DO Kubernetes without an external LoadBalancer?

There is a cube cluster for two nodes in DO. It costs 20 bucks.
I deployed two services without looking, and they charged me 40 in a month, because I went on and didn’t notice that two load balancers were implicitly created for 10 bucks each.
It's somehow wrong that each application that looks at the network costs 10 bucks on top.
Can you explain how for a teapot, is it possible to do something with this? And raise something yourself that will proxy traffic inside the cube?
